VSP Consulting is led by Quinn Stanger MA BSc(Hons) MIoL, a youth and voluntary sector leader with experience across participation, strategy, service design, impact and organisational development.
The consultancy was created to support charities, youth organisations and public services to listen well, think clearly and turn insight into practical action.
VSP stands for Voice, Strategy and Practice: three things that should work together, but too often become disconnected. My work helps organisations bring them back into alignment.
I bring senior leadership experience from the youth and voluntary sector, with a background in programme development, youth voice, safeguarding-informed practice, partnership working, funding, reporting and organisational strategy.
My work has included leading multi-strand youth programmes, developing participation and peer research approaches, supporting teams through change, working with funders and public-sector partners, and translating complex work into clear plans, reports and accessible communications.
I am particularly interested in how organisations move beyond consultation and create meaningful routes for people, especially young people and communities, to influence decisions, services and systems.
I believe good facilitation and consultancy work should feel thoughtful, inclusive and practical.
My style is relational and people-centred, combining strategic thinking with strong engagement and delivery. Whether I’m supporting organisational planning, facilitating a workshop or hosting a live event, the focus is on creating spaces where people feel comfortable contributing honestly and meaningfully.
I’m particularly interested in the connection between participation, relationships, quality and real-world change.
I work alongside organisations to understand the context, ask useful questions and create outputs that people can actually use. That might be a Theory of Change, a workshop, a strategy document, an impact framework, a consultation plan, a funding narrative or a set of clear recommendations.
I care about good process, but I also care about what happens next. Participation should lead somewhere. Strategy should shape action. Evaluation should help people learn, improve and communicate the difference they are making.

VSP Consulting is grounded in work that is:
Participatory
People should have meaningful opportunities to shape decisions that affect them.
Practical
Good ideas need to become clear plans, useful tools and better ways of working.
Inclusive
Work should be designed with attention to access, power, relationships and who may be missing from the conversation.
Honest
Strategy, evaluation and participation are strongest when they are clear about complexity, limitations and learning.
Action-focused
Listening matters, but the real test is what changes as a result.
If your organisation is developing a project, reviewing a service, strengthening participation or trying to make sense of strategy and impact, I’d be happy to have an informal conversation.
